Performing has always been part of my life. My mom says that I started performing as soon as I learned how to walk. She tells me that I'd dance to the sound of blenders, vacuum cleaners and washing machines. And whenever the family got together, you'd be sure that I would put something together just to make them laugh, to make sure they would have a good time.

 

I like to think that this is why I became an artist. It's about giving something to people, a small gift of yourself.

I'm drawn to strong female characters - fighters, lovers, enthusiasts, leaders. Women who wear their heart on their sleeve and that are not afraid to speak up for themselves or for their loved ones. Think fire, passion and fierceness with a touch of "brazilianess".

 

Today, my favorite place to be is in the rehearsal space. There's something truly incredible about people coming together to create and it's very humbling to know that we do what we do for something bigger than ourselves.
